JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Biology, in the Eberly College of Science, has a part-time opening for a Lab Attendant to work in the Assmann research lab within the department during the 2025-2026 academic year. This individual will assist in the following additional duties: cleaning glassware, pots, and trays, some autoclaving, and checking biohazard bins including the basement lab. Processing full or filled bins and soil bags, autoclave the waste/ soil bags check the drying oven for dried autoclave tips or tubes, and return to the storing location. Check for dry dishes on the drying racks and return to the storage location. Obtain labware for dishwashing. Check the stocks of pipette tips and tubes then fill tips if necessary and autoclave tips/ tubes. Refill 70% ethanol and liquid nitrogen DEWARS. And empty the recycling.
