POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director, be responsible for coordinating and implementing programs, services and activities offered by the Women’s Center. Handle logistical details involved with the Women’s Center programs and events, financial transactions, booking rooms on campus, ordering food and supplies, requesting AV and tech support. Manage the Women’s Center Website and help to generate promotional materials. Attend Women’s Center events and participate in programming.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In collaboration with the Director of the Women’s Center, coordinate programs, events, workshops, and educational initiatives that address the concerns and interests of women and female identifying students, faculty, and staff.
Oversee the Center’s calendar of the activities and manage logistics related to the organization and execution of events.
Develop relationships with various constituencies on campus.
Coordinate with custodial and facility departments to address building related concerns promptly.
Manage facility reservation requests for events and meetings within the Center.
Prepare and process financial transactions, invoices, purchase orders, honorarium, and reimbursements in accordance with university policies for Community, Equity and Diversity’s (CED) community engagement centers.
Hire, train, supervise and evaluate undergraduate student employees.
Be responsible for the operational aspects of the Women’s Center, including scheduling of the facility, student staff work schedules, and facility maintenance (by communication with University Facilities Staff).
Develop job descriptions, work schedules and task assignments for student employees.
Foster a learning environment for student employees, providing guidance and mentoring.
Collaborate with various campus departments, student organizations, and community partners to promote and integrate understanding, inclusivity and advocacy for women’s issues and rights.
Advocate for the concerns and interests of women and female identifying students, faculty, and staff.
Maintain accurate and up to date records and reports on usage of the Center.
Generate branding and marketing digital print materials for Center events for communication through the center’s website, social media accounts, and print publication.
Work with the university printing office and outside vendors to order promotional materials for the Center.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform additional duties as required.
LICENCES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
Personal Computers, printers, spreadsheets, word processing, database and presentation software; Social media platforms and communication applications.

1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Minimum one year of professional experience, including providing workshops and presentations on various topics.
3. Experience in program development that enhances the student experience.
4. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
5. Proficiency in written communication skills.
6. Experience in professional relationship building and partnership development.
7. Ability to work with students, faculty and staff dealing with difficult situations and sensitive issues.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide a safe and supportive environment.
9. Ability to work with diverse groups/populations, and respect individual differences.
